SARAJEVO, April 16 (FENA) - The delegation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Austria today and tomorrow is in an official visit to the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in order exchange experiences, attitudes and opinions on several topics, including "The Role and Jurisdiction of the Constitutional Court", “Independence and Autonomy” and "Perception and Reactions of Other Public Authorities and Citizens to the Decisions of the Constitutional Court (the issue of accepting and enforcing court decisions)".
These expert talks will take place within the framework of the program "The Constitutional Court in the Constitutional Law System - Experiences of Austria and Bosnia and Herzegovina".
The Austrian delegation is consisted of the President of the Austrian Constitutional Court, Brigitte Bierlein, Judge Wolfgang Brandstetter (former Vice President and Minister of Justice of Austria), Judge Nikolaus Bachler (a judge of the Supreme Administrative Court) and Reinhild Huppmann, Chief of Protocol of the Austrian Constitutional Court.
Cooperation between the two courts has existed for many years now, within the framework of international organizations, the European and World Constitutional Court Conferences, of which both of the constitutional courts are members.
Bilateral cooperation was initiated and established last year when the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Austria hosted a visit by the delegation of the Constitutional Court of BiH, stated the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
