SARAJEVO, March 29 (FENA) - Government of FBiH determined Draft Law on Protection of Whistleblowers in the Federation of BiH.
Aim of this law is prevention of corruption and securing an efficient system to protect whistleblowers from any form of endangerment or violation of their rights.
Every person has the right to, in good faith, report any form of corruption in public of private sector they learn about in any way.
In case of corruption report, responsible or authorized person needs to take all measures to detect, prevent, repress and punish all forms of corruption and protect whistleblowers.
Reason for adoption of this law is the fact that there are no efficient legal and institutional mechanisms in the Federation of BiH to secure protection of persons who would report corruption.
Intention is to send a clear message to the public that state will invest all efforts to provide adequate and efficient protection through legal norms and established institutions to persons who decide to report corruption, without fear they will be exposed to any retaliation, PR Office of FBiH Government stated.
