MOSTAR, Mar 26 (FENA) – At the session of the General Council of the Croatian Peasant’s Party of BiH (HSPBiH) President of the party, Nikola Raguz, submitted a detailed report on HSP's activities from the last session to date with suggestions for future guidelines and activities.
On the occasion, changes of the Election Law of BiH were discussed as well as the need to find a compromise solution between the opposed positions of the HDZ BiH and SDA.
According to the HSP’s statement, one of the possible solutions is that Una –Sana and Bosnia-Podrinje Cantons should not give Croatian delegates to the House of Peoples at all, because, as stated, in these counties almost no citizens declaring themselves as Croats live. The statement adds that the cantons of West Herzegovina and Herzegovina-Neretva should get one more delegate each.
" The story of 46 Croats from Gorazde is irrelevant in comparison with thousands of young people leaving BiH. The HDZ BiH and the SDA are mostly to be blamed for the new circumstances, and they should solve the problem, but not force all nations into mutual intolerance and political conflicts of Bosniaks and Croats, which are mostly reflected in the Federation of BiH, at the same time reinforcing the only remaining relic of the "Greater Serbia", i.e. the Republika Srpska, " says the HSP’s statement.
At the session of the HSP General Assembly, a commission was appointed that will make a proposal for amendments to the Election Law for the City of Mostar.
The proposal for amending the Statute was also adopted - the commissars for the cantons are members of the Presidency of the HSP, while Vinko Drnovac was elected as the party secretary general.
The HSP's Main Council supported the coalition Together For BiH in Republika Srpska and authorized the Vice-President Vinko Jakic to negotiate and sign a co-operation agreement, says the statement.
