Law students from Bijeljina visit the Court of BiH

SARAJEVO, March 23 (FENA) - As part of the Court Support Network project of the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights of RS, a group of 20 students of the Law School of Sinergija University from Bijeljina, visited today the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The purpose of the visit was for the students to learn about the organization and work of the Court.

During the visit to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the students had an opportunity to learn about the structure, jurisdiction and activities of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina through presentations by representatives of the Public Information and Outreach Section, Legal Department and Witness Support Section of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.  

The students had an opportunity to ask questions and they also watched footage of one hearing held before the Section I for War Crimes of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

At the end of the visit the students were distributed material with additional information on jurisprudence and were encouraged to learn about the Court’s activities on its official web site.
