MOSTAR, Mar 14 (FENA) - President of HDZ 1990, Ilija Cvitanovic,in Mostar on Tuesday expressed full support to the demands of the Health Care Trade Union in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton ) finding the stand of the cantonal Government on the issue as disastrous.
Cvitanovic pointed out that the problem in health services would be very easy to solve if the fund distribution in the HNC Government was transparent, recalling that in the past 10 years pays of health care workers had not increased, while in the same period, pays of the government officials increased by at least five times.
- Can you imagine that a doctor has a salary of KM 1.2000 , and a minister at the government KM 3.500. This society can exist without prime ministers and ministers and would be even happier without them, but cannot without doctors - Cvitanovic said at the press conference held in Mostar.
He rated the stand of the Cantonal Government that trade unions should negotiate together as illusory, pointing out that all health care workers should get higher salaries and it is not important whether they negotiate separately or together if the goal is to reach agreement.
Cvitanovic underlined that the incumbent Cantonal Government was the less transparent government in the history of the HNC, adding that the non-transparent allocation of funds would have to be answered for.
- The HDZ 1990 will stand up responsibly and fiercely against the bad policy , as our people expect from us. We have no right to be silent because they have brought us into moral and ethical cess-pool - said President of HDZ 1990.
Support to health care workers was also expressed by a delegate to the HNC Assembly, Luka Faletar, and a delegate to the FBiH Parliament Zdravko Kuzman, who rated the stand of the HNC Government toward the Trade Union as inappropriate and unacceptable.
They urged the government to negotiate with the Trade Union and meet their demands because they believe that a solution and resources could be found to overcome the situation.
