SARAJEVO/BRUSSELS, February 28 (FENA) - I am happy that Bosnia and Herzegovina today, after almost 15 months, submitted the responses to the European Commission Questionnaire, wrote today Cristian Dan Preda, European Parliament's rapporteur for BiH, commenting on social networks the ceremonial ceremony in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.
“I congratulate the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdić and everyone who was involved at the state, entity and cantonal levels, as well as the Directorate for European Integration led by Edin Dilberović.
Their joint effort in completing this difficult task on the path to the EU should be fully recognized. I hope that these efforts will enable the state to move towards a candidate status," Preda said.
At the same time, I would like to point out that this is one of the first steps towards obtaining the opinion of the European Commission.
“I appeal to the BiH authorities at all levels to continue working in order to avoid delays on the European path. Submission of the responses is a very positive step, but implementation of all the reforms, especially those related to the fight against corruption, depoliticizing the judiciary and the reform of public administration must be accelerated if BiH wants a candidate status,” said Preda.
