SARAJEVO, February 20 (FENA) - Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) opened today in Sarajevo its correspondence office and its employees announced recording material throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.
FBiH President Marinko Čavara expressed satisfaction with the fact that this office will not be focused only on Sarajevo, saying that information from all over BiH is important to the Republic of Croatia.
"Along with the correspondence office that opened in Mostar, this means there will be more information from BiH. This is a window for the citizens of Croatia to learn about the situation in the neighboring country," said Mr. Čavara.
He added that the correspondence office will improve the information of Croats in BiH who do not have a channel in the Croatian language.
"It will not replace this channel, but will contribute to a clearer view of the situation in BiH," said Mr. Čavara.
The correspondence office was officially opened by HRT's Managing Director Kazimir Bačić who said that quality reporting on public and state institutions, as well as on international and all important issues, especially with neighboring countries, was in the focus of HRT.
The correspondence office opening ceremony was attended by numerous public and political officials from Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as from Croatia, including BiH Presidency Chairman Dragan Čović.
