SARAJEVO, February 11 (FENA) - The idea that such a facility, built in a time of great world tensions and hidden from the public, tells the story of the Cold War in such an artistic way, is fascinating in itself, and it is unique in the world, said Special Adviser to the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Adama Dieng, after visiting the D-0 ARK Underground Collection, located in the Atomic War Command near Konjic.
Dieng was accompanied by a senior UN official, the resident UN coordinator and a resident representative of the UN Development Program (UNDP) in BiH Sezin Sinanoglu.
The UN delegation was welcomed by the D-0 ARK Underground Project Coordinator Sandra Miljević Hozić, who informed Dieng about the Collection and the idea of the Project.
After visiting the Collection, Special Adviser Dieng did not hide his enthusiasm.
"The idea to use art to pacify a military object and for the artists to get involved with their works in protecting this military facility deserves every kind of support," Dieng said.
He added that after seeing the works from artists from all over the world, everyone becomes enriched with a memorable experience, pointing out that he was a great supporter of the Project and top of the notch D-0 ARK Underground Collection, stated the Biennale Project Directorate.
