'Days of Iranian Culture' begin in Banja Luka

BANJA LUKA, February 8 (FENA) - The manifestation "Days of Iranian Culture 2018" began this evening in Banja Luka.

Bearing in mind that the city of Tabriz was declared the center of culture and tourism for this year, the program, which includes the exhibition of several artists, is dedicated to presenting the culture and art of this Iranian city.

Deputy Mayor of Tabriz Ahmad Hamidi said that through the works of three artists at this exhibition they wanted to present all that Tabriz is special for. In Iran, that city bears the epithet for having the first primary school, printing school, university, which has lasted for 8,000 years.

Mayor of Banja Luka Igor Radojičić said that this was the second exhibition of artists from Iran in this city and that visitors will have the opportunity to see photo, calligraphy and miniature exhibitions during the next three days.

"Banja Luka is an open city and wants to develop international cooperation and to host various cultural events of various destinations. Persian culture has been around for a long time and is one of the richest and most enduring civilizations, which has suffered various influences and changes during the millennium of its existence. It is very interesting to observe the historical development and all that comes to us from that region," the Banja Luka Mayor said.
