BiH Court - Ganija Kurti acquitted of charges

SARAJEVO, February 7 (FENA) - Following the completion of the main trial in the case v. Ganija Jurti, on 6 February 2018 the Court handed down and publicly announced the Verdict under which the Accused Ganija Kurti is acquitted of charges for Organized Crime in violation of Article 250(3) of the CC of BIH as read with the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs in violation of Article 195(1) of CC of BIH, all in conjunction with Article 54 of the CC of BIH.

The Accused Ganija Kurti is acquitted of charges that in June and July 2014, while serving sentence of imprisonment, he organized and led the group for organized crime which was joined by  J. S., A. N., I.K., Z.V. and other persons known to them, which was a group organized for unlawful international sale, transfer, transportation, possession, mediation in further international sale, export and import, dispatch and delivery of narcotic drug Cannabis sativa L.- Marijuana from the territory of the Republic of Montenegro to the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, all with the aim of obtaining an unlawful property gain.  

The Court also reached the decision terminating custody of the Accused Ganija Kurti that was previously ordered by the Court's decision dated 27 September 2016, stated the BiH Court.
