SARAJEVO, February 1 (FENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Igor Crnadak received today the Head of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina Bruce G. Berton.
Minister Crnadak welcomed Berton and thanked him for everything that the OSCE Mission has done so far in BiH.
Crnadak also commended the engagement of the OSCE Mission in strengthening cooperation with other OSCE missions in the region in areas of common interest.
Head of OSCE Mission Berton thanked Minister Crnadak for his support for engagement and assistance primarily in resolving security issues and the assistance provided so far in organizing the upcoming elections in 2018.
He offered assistance in the implementation of the dialogue at all levels of government in order to overcome the problems that impede the electoral process in BiH.
Berton briefed Minister Crnadak about the forthcoming visit of the OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger to Bih, scheduled for 19 to 21 February 2018.
The interlocutors agreed that there is a need to renew the agreement between BiH and the OSCE regarding the status of the OSCE Mission to BiH (diplomatic immunity, privileges of the employees of the OSCE Mission to BiH).
In this regard, they agreed to hold meetings at the MFA and the OSCE in order to change and redefine the existing agreement that deals with the aforementioned issues, stated the Public Relations Office of the MFA of BiH.
