SARAJEVO, January 30 (FENA) - Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton Elmedin Konaković resigned from all functions in the Party of Democratic Action.
The news site Faktor.ba reports that Mr. Konaković announced his resignation to his colleagues in the SDA Sarajevo Cantonal Executive Board as he left the yesterday's session, saying he was having a “headache” and this morning he formally started the procedure by sending an e-mail.
The reason for the discussion at yesterday's session of the SDA Sarajevo Cantonal Executive Board, the website learns, were reports of the work of cantonal public companies, which will tomorrow be discussed by the delegates of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly.
Most of the members of the Executive Board supported the initiative that work reports for individual companies are removed from the agenda of the tomorrow's session, which Mr. Konaković objected to. Before leaving the session, he criticized those who disagreed with his opinion and then announced his resignation from the party functions. Most of the disputes occurred when they reached the report on the work of the “ZOI '84” Olympic Center Sarajevo for 2016, Faktor.ba reports.
Mr. Konaković was the vice president of the Sarajevo Cantonal Committee of SDA, as well as a member of the Executive Board of the SDA Municipal Organization Centar.
