SARAJEVO, January 29 (FENA) – The leader of the Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina (SBiH) Amer Jerlagić urged the authorities to establish an electronic counting system or scanning in the forthcoming general elections, to make the election results credible.
“Such a system will not cost much, and it is no secret that for the past 20 years, those who win have been those who count the votes, and not those for whom the BiH citizens vote,” Mr. Jerlagić said at today’s press conference.
Commenting on the speculation about the indirect election of the BiH Presidency members regarding the BiH Election Law, Mr. Jerlagić said that citizens still have to elect members directly rather than the BiH Parliamentary Assembly doing it, because they are responsible for defense and foreign affairs.
He also urged the BiH Council of Ministers to release to the public the responses to the European Commission’s Questionnaire, as they concern all BiH citizens and should be transparent.
