SARAJEVO, January 26 (FENA) - Due to increased concentrations of pollutants in the air in Sarajevo Canton (KS), the first warning level was declared - Preparedness, along with intervention measures.
The Order of Declaration of the aforementioned warning has been issued by the Competent Body for Coordination and Control, on the basis of the Plan of Intervention Measures in Cases of Excessive Air Pollution in the SC.
The FBiH Hydrometeorological Institute announces stable weather, no rainfall and wind in the SC until February 1, when snowfall is expected. Such conditions, with the present temperature inversion, favor the accumulation of polluting substances in the air at significant concentrations.
It is necessary to make an appeal to legal entities to change the start of working hours, depending on their capabilities, in order to contribute to the relieving of the capacity of public transport and the city roads.
Also, drivers are urged to use their private vehicles rationally and responsibly, and the population groups at risk are warned to reduce their movement.
