Indictment v. Nenad Perović issued for crimes against humanity

SARAJEVO, January 26 (FENA) - The Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes of the BiH Prosecutor's Office issued an indictment against Nenad Perović (1949) from Rogatica, charged with crimes against humanity.

The accused is charged with having participated, as a member of the Army of Republika Srpska - VP 7084 Rogatica from May 1992 until late 1993, in a broad and systematic attack of the army, police and paramilitary units directed against the Bosniak civilian population in the area of Rogatica municipality.

Specifically, Perović is charged with assisting another soldier in raping a civilian woman of Bosniak nationality, by using force or threats to life and the victim's body, as well as with an attempt to rape another Bosniak civilian, committing a different form of serious sexual violence, which left serious physical and psychological consequences on both victims.

The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation, stated the BiH Prosecutor's Office.
