MOSTAR, January 25 (FENA) – Signing of scholarship agreements for 65 students in the 2017/2018 academic year took place on Thursday in the Mostar City Hall, and the scholarship were presented by Mostar Mayor, Ljubo Beslic.
About 480 students applied for the scholarships, of which 65 were selected, in four categories: students from faculties in high demand, students who received scholarships based on achieved results, students who received scholarships based on family standards and difficult living conditions and scholarships for students being successful athletes.
Scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students will be awarded in ten monthly installments in the amount of 150 or 200 marks.
- From 2006 till now, the City of Mostar has regularly granted scholarships for which KM 3.15 million were allocated from the city budget - Mostar Mayor Ljubo Beslic said.
He also congratulated all scholars on, wishing them much success in further education and expressing confidence that the scholarships of the City of Mostar will also contribute to this end.
"This is a big grant for scholarships, but from the aspect of the number of applications received, the number of scholarships is small, and we will try to increase this fund in the future," Mayor Beslic said.
Speaker of the Youth Council of Mostar and a member of the Commission for Establishing the Scholarship Criteria, Tajma Tiro, said that everything had been done in accordance with the City Decision of granting scholarships, and expressed regret that the number of scholarships was limited.
