ZENICA, January 19 (FENA) - President of Party of Democratic Action of BiH Bakir Izetbegović paid a working visit today to the Cantonal Board of SDA ZDC, where he met with members of this board.
They talked about problems and tasks within the party, but also about numerous economic topics in area of Zenica-Doboj Canton. According to Izetbegović "city of Zenica and ZDC have a strong real sector with mines, ironworks and private companies, but they also have numerous problems".
"Zenica is a champion in export. BiH records the biggest increase of export in the region, but this area is not happy with inter-cantonal distribution of tax and that is the topic we will work on in the party and in the Parliament of FBiH", emphasized Izetbegović.
Answering media questions on weaker results in local elections, he said they are not happy with the results, but they need to be better prepared for this-year's elections and "do some things so there would be no mistakes".
"SDA was the only one that did not obstruct implementation of the Reform Agenda, whereas others have and we need to strengthen position of the party in next elections, because it is an engine that is pulling this country forward," said Izetbegović.
Speaking about proposal of amendments to the Election Law, which still has not been voted, president of SDA noted they will continue working on that and he expects assistance from the EU and USA, as well as from mediators.
