BOSANSKI PETROVAC, Jan. 17 (FENA) - Banja Luka bishop Franjo Komarica visited the newly appoited Bihac-Petrovac Orthodox bishop Sergij on January 16 in Bosanski Petrovac, for the first time since the Orthodox bishop in autumn assumed the post.
On the occasion, Bishop Komarica congratulated on the Orthodox Christmas , as well as his taking over the responsible shepher service in the Bihac-Petrovac Eparchy.
Bishop Sergej thanked bishop Komarica for the visit, and in a relaxed friendly conversation, the two dignitaries exchanged information on the situation in their dioceses, ecumenical relations between Catholics and Orthodoxies on the global and local level, on the situation in the world and in our society, and agreed on the necessity for the future cooperation of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Catholic Church, in the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as in their areas of the Bihac-Petrovac Eparchy and Banja luka Diocese, which largely share a common territory of the western part of BiH.
Bishop Sergei promised a return visit to Bishop Komarica in Banja Luka to be as soon as possible.
