SARAJEVO, January 16 (FENA) – The content of responses to the remaining questions from the European Commission Questionnaire has been agreed upon at a joint meeting, Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers Denis Zvizdić confirmed to reporters today in East Sarajevo, where the highest state and entity officials were discussing these responses.

In addition to Zvizdić, the meeting was attended by BiH Minister of Finance and Treasury Vjekoslav Bevanda and entity prime ministers Fadil Novalić and Željka Cvijanović, as well as entity finance ministers Jelka Milićević and Zoran Tegeltija.

“All bodies within the Coordination Mechanism were given clear deadlines to submit these responses to the verification procedure by Friday, including the Collegium for European Integration, and in the next few days we expect to have practically completed all the responses to the Questionnaire,” Mr. Zvizdić explained.

After that, the necessary procedures for verifying the answers will be undertaken, followed by the technical preparations for the printing of the responses to the EC Questionnaire and preparation for sending to Brussels.

FBiH Prime Minister Fadil Novalić expressed his satisfaction with the fact that out of a lot of questions, today only the seven remaining were discussed, and they were also agreed upon, so the only thing left is to technically implement this through the prescribed procedures of the Coordination Mechanism.

“We have finished a major part of the work. These days we have certain crises at the federal and state level when it comes to the adoption of the budget, but this is certainly a bright spot in this period and this should be the new signal sent from BiH to the EU,” believes Mr. Novalić.

Prime Minister Cvijanović noted that the participants were dealing with the remaining open questions, all in order to verify and finalize the answers in the next few days.

“It is necessary to implement a certain set of questions through the coordination system, while for certain questions, where there is no consensus, the agreement is that our services finish the consolidated text by Friday and that we then decide upon it,” Ms. Cvijanović said.
