SARAJEVO, January 16 (FENA) - Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency Chairman Dragan Čović received letters of credence from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to BiH headquartered in Belgrade, Anders Christian Hougaard.
The two sides expressed satisfaction with the good bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Kingdom of Denmark, which are friendly and without open issues.
Mr. Čović informed Ambassador Anders Christian Hougaard about the current political and economic situation in BiH and the ongoing reform process.
Mr. Čović emphasized that EU membership is the most important foreign policy objective of BiH and that the perspective of EU membership continues to be the driving force behind positive democratic, political, economic and social changes in BiH.
They concluded that the economic relations of the two countries were good, but that there is room for improvement of cooperation in the economic sector, which can be raised to a higher level. A significant link in the relations between BiH and the Kingdom of Denmark is the BiH Diaspora, which can significantly contribute to the creation of a more favorable image of BiH in the Kingdom of Denmark, which would help intensify economic cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, Chairman Čović expressed his support and wished success to the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark, Anders Christian Hougaard, in carrying out his mission in BiH, the BiH Presidency said.
