BANJA LUKA, January 11 (FENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Igor Crnadak said today that a visit by a delegation of self-proclaimed and internationally unrecognized South Ossetia, led by its president Anatoly Bibilov, has caused damage to Republika Srpska.
At a press conference in Banja Luka, Crnadak confirmed that the ministry has responded to the diplomatic note of Georgia because of the visit to RS, in which it pointed out that they were in no case informed or participated in the organization of this visit.
“I support all the international activities of RS and I believe that the RS must have much better international activities, but what they did here with the delegation from South Ossetia has caused enormous damage to RS internationally. This is a devaluation of the importance, status and international position of RS. With this act, RS, which is recognized by all UN nations, has been placed together in the same box as this region of questionable international position, the size of Prnjavor. This is something that RS did not need,” Crnadak said.
Bibilov and Russia's Ambassador to BiH Petr Ivantsov laid a wreath today at the monument to Russian diplomat Vitaly Churkin in East Sarajevo.
