SARAJEVO, January 10 (FENA) - Lana Prlić, the vice-president of the Social Democratic Party of BiH, believes that Dragan Čović's recent statement in which he said that the HDZ has a prepared third scenario if the case of "Željko Komšić" happens again, is another empty threat, reads the statement from the SDP.
“Mr. Čović has so far failed to uphold any promise he has made, such as the promise that Bosnia and Herzegovina will receive the status of a candidate for the EU, which he repeated several times in the previous year. However, so far Bosnia and Herzegovina has not even completed the EU Questionnaire yet," Ms. Prlić said.
She says that it is incredible that the HDZ is still talking about the vulnerability of Croats, whereas in four cantons where the HDZ is part of the government, the Serbs are not a constituent ethnicity.
“This same government, whose key player is the HDZ, has managed to construct a tiny bit of a sidewalk in the last three years and open a new substation in Čitluk, but it has also managed to destroy the Pension and Disability Insurance fund. That same HDZ, which Čović describes as ‘the pivotal party for Croats in BiH,’ has driven Croats out of our country. The campaign has obviously begun and, while the SDP BiH is the only party that talks about its electoral program, Dodik talks about RS, and Čović about a third scenario. But the HDZ's third scenario is actually just a plan to create a crisis because they know that they will suffer a defeat from the progressive parties in the next elections. I do not know why, but the "third scenario", announced by Dragan Čović, is reminiscent of previous HDZ campaigns and a dream of a third entity," Ms. Prlić said, reads the statement.
