SARAJEVO, January 9 (FENA) - The Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has reviewed the compliance of the entity of Republika Srpska on 9 January as the ‘Day of RS’ with the Constitution of BiH and found that it was unconstitutional and the decisions of that court are final and binding and must be respected, reminded the spokesperson of the Office of High Representative (OHR) in BiH Mario Brkić.

In a statement to FENA, he reiterated the earlier position that the OHR has nothing against that Republika Srpska has its day, but that the day of the entity should be envisaged in accordance with the legal framework and respecting the rule of law.

The OHR called on politicians to show responsibility and refrain from negative rhetoric or actions that could exacerbate the situation and draw attention away from the necessary reforms.
