'EUFOR Quick Response 23' exercise concludes with testing reactions in complex situations

BIHAĆ/TUZLA/ČAPLJINA, October 2 (FENA) - The final week of exercise 'EUFOR Quick Response 2023' commenced with an increased tempo and focus. The objective of the exercise was to test the command and control structures of the forces from the operational reserve in challenging and complex situations.

Hungarian, Bulgarian and Turkish companies of the Multinational Battalion (MNBN) were deployed in Bihać, Tuzla and Čapljina.

The battalion continued to build on the experiences of the previous week and faced a series of intense and dynamic scenarios.

The companies were practiced in securing ammunition and weapons storage sites, evacuation of friendly personnel and civilians, public order incidents and medical evacuation.

Under the control of the MNBN commander, the Romanian company conducted a complex multi-phase exercise to secure an airport.

Logistical elements were also exercised taken place between Austrian and Romanian companies.

The exercise concluded with a combined medal awarding and closing ceremony, EUFOR announced.

The annual exercise "EUFOR Quick Response 2023" was realized from September 11 to 29 throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. Soldiers from 22 countries participating in the EUFOR mission participated in the exercise, which temporarily strengthened the composition of EUFOR by sending reserve forces that are currently on standby in those countries.
