SARAJEVO, September 17 (FENA) - The Peace Support Operations Training Center (PSOTC) will hold a solemn ceremony on Monday, September 18, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their successful work in the field of education under the motto '20 Years of Excellence'.
PSOTC was founded on September 23, 2003, when a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the United Kingdom and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Since then an impressive number of military and courses of a broader security spectrum have been realized.
“It is important to say that seven NATO-certified courses, four UN-certified courses, and two courses accredited by the University of Sarajevo have been conducted in PSOTC so far. In the past 20 years, more than 10,000 students have been trained at PSOTC, almost half of whom were international participants from 65 different countries around the world,” PSOTC told FENA.
They stated that the fact that a large number of students who complete some of their courses apply for other courses and are happy to return speaks in favor of the professionalism, approach, and quality of teaching.
PSOTC is not a training center that operates only in Bosnia and Herzegovina but its presence in the international environment is achieved through the instructor exchange program with other international centers and through the engagement of the PSOTC mobile training team, which has so far conducted training in more than 17 different countries on three continents.
“With the unconditional support that this center has from the Ministry of Defense and international partners, PSOTC will continue with the implementation of many projects in the coming period, improving the already high standards, and in this way represent the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the country at the international level,” said PSOTC for FENA.
