MOSTAR, June 16 (FENA) - Ambassador of Spain to Bosnia and Herzegovina, María Teresa Lizaranzu Perinat, held a lecture today on the '30th anniversary of Bosnia and Herzegovina's diplomatic relations with Spain' at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Mostar.

This is the second lecture that the Faculty of Philosophy in Mostar organized as part of the Tour d'horizon cycle, which includes lectures and visits by ambassadors at this faculty.

Before the lecture, Ambassador Lizaranza Perinat met with the Dean of the Faculty Dražen Barbarić and the vice deans.

"The idea of the visit is for the ambassadors to present the mission of their embassies in Bosnia and Herzegovina and bring the students closer to what they can do for Bosnia and Herzegovina and what they are doing," said Jelena Jurčić, assistant professor and vice dean for international cooperation.

The Spanish Ambassador said that they discussed three decades of bilateral relations, but also about the future of those relations, in which BiH will start towards the EU path, and Spain wants to help them on that path and partnership.

She reminded that in July Spain will take over the presidency of the EU Council and pointed out that her country will continue to "push" Bosnia and Herzegovina towards the Union.

During the lecture, the Ambassador could hear the students' questions and reflections - how they see the entry of Bosnia and Herzegovina into the EU, and she shared with them the experiences of Spain and the process of its entry into the EU many years ago.

She also believes that the best way to nurture the future bilateral relations between these two countries is precisely through student exchange through the Erasmus program.

About 3,000 BiH citizens live in Spain today.
