SARAJEVO, June 15 (FENA) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, met yesterday with the Director of the International Commission on Missing Persons for Europe (ICMP), Matthew Holliday.

Bećirović reminded that on this day in 1992, a terrible war crime took place in Višegrad when 70 people were killed and are still missing. The officials agreed that this is also one of the reminders of the importance of the existence and work of organizations that search for missing persons.

They pointed out that Bosnia and Herzegovina will not give up the search for missing persons and that it is important to urge all levels of government to provide full support to this process. The interlocutors also emphasized that prosecuting all those responsible for genocide and war crimes must continue.

Director of the International Commission on Missing Persons for Europe, Matthew Holliday, informed Bećirović about the existing mechanism for regional cooperation to resolve the issue of persons missing in conflicts in the territory of the former Yugoslavia.

BiH Presidency member expressed his gratitude for the support and work of the ICMP in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has been assisting in finding missing persons since 1996.
