SARAJEVO, May 17 (FENA) - The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has accepted information from the FBiH Civil Protection Administration (FUCZ) on the situation in flooded areas in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina at its first emergency session today. In this regard, the Government passed a conclusion instructing the FUCZ and the FBiH Headquarters of Civil Protection to engage specialized units of civil protection for water rescue at the request of cantonal civil protection headquarters, and to place all available human and material-technical resources on disposition, in order to provide assistance in the threatened area, as well as to report this to the FBiH Government.
The Government made a decision to allocate intervention funds in the amount of 500,000 KM from the current reserve of the Budget of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as an intervention measure to help four cities and municipalities in the Una-Sana Canton.
Of this amount, 150,000 KM each was approved for Bihać, Bosanska Krupa and Sanki Most, and 50,000 KM for Ključ. These funds were approved through FUCZ.
The Government will consider the situation in the threatened areas and, in accordance with the estimated damages, intervene in the direction of further assistance to the flooded areas in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Press Service of the FBiH Government announced.
