SARAJEVO, April 3 (FENA) - Minister of Justice and Administration of the Sarajevo Sarajevo, Darja Softić Kadenić, hosted the Ambassador of Switzerland to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Daniel Hunn, with whom she discussed the modalities of potential cooperation between the Canton of Bern and the Sarajevo Canton, especially considering their similar geographical locations, climate, but also administrative characteristics.
Bern is the capital of Switzerland, which is a largely decentralized and multicultural country, which creates the assumption that eventual cooperation would enable Sarajevo Canton to implement more efficient solutions, especially in the context of urban mobility and communal services.
The officials highlighted the good cooperation and great assistance of Switzerland through various projects, especially those from the Department of the Ministry of Transport of the Sarajevo Canton, but also from the areas of the Development Planning Institute of the Sarajevo Canton.
They expressed interest in cooperation on marking the 40th anniversary of the Olympic Games in Sarajevo, where Swiss athletes who competed in various winter disciplines during the 1984 Winter Olympic Games in Sarajevo would eventually take part.
Softić Kadenić pointed out that the Government of the Sarajevo Canton is determined to take further concrete and formal steps towards the realization of possible cooperation in various fields between the Canton of Bern and the Sarajevo Canton, the Press Service of the SC announced.
