BIHAĆ, December 2 (FENA) - Emir Dautović (NES), Mehmed Mahmić (SDA) and Azhar Sejarić (NiP) were elected as Bosniak delegates to the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Parliamentary representatives in the Una-Sana Canton (USC) also elected Tanja Šantić (NES) from the ranks of Croat people, Mladen Lonić (SDP) from the ranks of Serb people, and Senita Handukić (DF) from the ranks of the Others.
The Assembly of the Una-Sana Canton elects eight delegates to the House of Peoples, three from the ranks of Bosniak and Serb peoples, and one each from the ranks of Croats and the Others. Since there is only one elected representative in this parliamentary convocation, that is, in the Serb Caucus, the remaining two delegates from the ranks of the Serb people will be appointed according to the prescribed mechanisms of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“The most important is that we respected the legal deadline for the appointment of delegates to the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Negotiations about the leadership itself, that is, the formation of the parliamentary majority, are ongoing and I believe that we will very soon create all the preconditions for the continuation of this constituent session,” said Deputy Speaker of the USC Assembly from the previous convocation and newly elected representative of the Party for BiH Nisvet Jusić.
Therefore, the constituent session was adjourned after the election of delegates to the House of Peoples, considering that the parliamentary majority has not yet been agreed upon, and therefore the conditions for the appointment of the leadership of the USC Assembly have not been created.
