SARAJEVO, October 5 (FENA) - Representatives of the Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) and the Party of Democratic Progress (PDP), Mirko Šarović, Branislav Borenović and Jelena Trivić, submitted today to the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CEC) a request for a new counting of votes and annulment of the election for the president of Republika Srpska.
As the reason for canceling the election, they cited around 65,000 compromised votes, as well as numerous illogicalities and irregularities during the General Election that led to the victory of Milorad Dodik.
As PDP president Branislav Borenović said, about 65,000 votes were misused, which changed the electoral will of the citizens.
- It is probably also about a larger number of votes. It is an incredible difference of 20,000 votes in favor of one candidate in Doboj, Zvornik and Prijedor, which does not completely match the data we had from those polling stations - said Borenović.
He points out that in the coming days, these parties will submit to the CEC amendments to the request for annulment of the election.
- We expect that the CEC, based on this information, will allow the boxes to be opened and to see what is inside. This is the only way to stand in the way of unscrupulous thefts and electoral corruption, which is the basis for every other corruption in society. We will not give up in our efforts to reach the truth and justice, and that is our obligation - added Borenović.
RS presidential candidate Jelena Trivić emphasizes that the counting process at numerous polling stations during the night was equivalent to a state of war, and that one video shows how "thugs" enter the polling station and attack an observer who did not withdraw.
The leader of SDS, Mirko Šarović, who was a candidate for the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, believes that there was theft at all levels - the President of the RS, the Member of the Presidency of BiH, for the National Assembly of the RS and the House of Representatives of the PS BiH.
- As a party, we filed several criminal charges. The city of Doboj is an example of almost a mafia organization that stole even before the elections, and especially since midnight when they found out that Jelena Trivić was in charge. We believe that now the whole society is being tested, especially those who are responsible for the election process. We are not only referring to the CEC, but also to SIPA, the police, prosecutor's offices and courts. This is an opportunity for this society to finally deal with crime and corruption - concluded Šarović.
