SARAJEVO, September 13 (FENA) - Bosnia and Herzegovina continued to deport migrants illegally staying in our country. Representatives of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina forcibly removed two Moroccan citizens today.

- Before the removal, those persons were placed under supervision in the Immigration Center of the Service, and the forced removal was carried out by commercial flight from Sarajevo International Airport. The security and escort officers of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs will accompany these persons to Morocco, where they will be handed over to the competent authorities - announced the Service for Foreigners' Affairs of BiH.

The Ministry of Security of BiH states that, after stabilizing the migrant situation in BiH and taking over migration management from the competent state institutions, they emphasized the return of migrants illegally residing in our country, perpetrators of criminal acts, and persons who do not meet the conditions for international protection. They remind that the process of returning migrants to Pakistan was started earlier under the Readmission Agreement with that country.

It is expected that in the coming period it will be a continuous process, for which financial resources have been secured from partner countries and institutions.

The Republic of Austria provided assistance in mediating the financing solution for the deportation of migrants from Morocco, which was paid for by international partners. Also, an EU package is being prepared for financing the return of foreign citizens who do not meet the conditions for international protection.

Also, the Joint Coordination Platform (JCP) provided significant support to BiH, especially through the training of members of the BiH Service for Affairs with Foreigners who carry out deportations of illegal migrants to their country of origin, the Ministry of Security of BiH said.
