NEUM, August 4 (FENA) - According to information from the Neum Operations Center, the situation at the fire sites is better, a wider area of Mount Žaba is burning, as well as low vegetation and grass near the village of Zelenikovac, but the population and buildings are not threatened.
All available personnel and equipment are on the ground, and local volunteers and two helicopters of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina are participating in the firefighting, according to the FBiH Administration of Civil Protection.
Also, the need to engage Canadair was expressed.
The situation is worsened by the wind and the inaccessibility of the terrain, and traffic has not been stopped.
In the area of Konjic, there are still active fires in the area of the village of Borci and in the locality of Biskup, where a pine forest is burning.
