NEUM, August 3 (FENA) – The helicopter of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina is currently extinguishing a large fire in Neum that has spread to the village of Hutovo.
“The situation at the fire site is still difficult, and the fire line is over 10 kilometers long,” said Marko Tapalović from the Neum Municipal Civil Protection Service for FENA, adding that so far neither houses nor commercial buildings are threatened.
There are 14 firefighters from Neum with seven vehicles on the ground. It is difficult to extinguish the fire due to wind and inaccessibility of the terrain.
