KONJIC, July 15 (FENA) - A large fire broke out on Friday around 3:30 p.m. in the area of Boračko Lake in the municipality of Konjic.
“The fire is in an inaccessible area and is difficult to control. Fire brigades are on the ground and the focus of extinguishing the fire is around the 'Sarića house', which is located above the Boračko Lake,” said Husein Hodžić, assistant chief for civil protection and firefighting in Konjic municipality for FENA.
He added that they also sent a request to the BiH Armed Forces to help them put out the fire with a helicopter.
“The fire spreads quickly due to the dry terrain, strong wind, pine forest and all other advantages for its rapid spread. We give our best. We have several buildings near the fire and we will do our best to ensure that they are not endangered,” said Hodžić.
