SARAJEVO, March 30 (FENA) - BiH Presidency Chairman Šefik Džaferović said after a meeting with European Council President Charles Michel in Brussels today that it was a very important meeting, an important meeting for BiH, as he spoke about the European issues concerning BiH and BiH-EU relations.

He said that the first topic that must be discussed at all meetings at this moment is the issue of Russian aggression against Ukraine, BiH's attitude towards that issue.

"I informed President Michel about the views regarding BiH. They are also known to him. BiH belongs to the civilized part of the world, the part of the world that condemned Russia's aggression against Ukraine, the part of the world that respects Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and the part of the world that joins restrictive measures, UN General Assembly resolutions and European Commission positions," Dzaferovic said.

He said that they discussed the situation in BiH, "the situation in BiH is not good, BiH institutions are blocked".

"The authorities of the BiH entity Republika Srpska are taking measures to cancel the reforms that we have been working hard for 27 years in BiH. I asked for support, that with the help of the EU, the EU's actions simply put the retrograde decisions of the RS Assembly out of force and to help BiH through the EU's actions in order to unblock institutions and BiH function normally," said Džaferović.

According to him, the international military presence in BiH was also discussed.

"I said that it is necessary to strengthen EUFOR because it is better to prevent an evil than to try to amend its consequences. It is better to prevent a fire than to put it out. The very fact that there was an increase in EUFOR forces in BiH, the capacity of that mission, in itself significantly stabilized the situation in my country. I think that the strengthening of EUFOR will further stabilize the security situation in BiH," said Džaferović.

He said that the overall activities of the international community were also discussed, adding that he thought that the international community should act more decisively in BiH.

"We also discussed constitutional and electoral reforms within BiH and the elections to be held this year. These are the topics that President Michel and I discussed today," stated the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Šefik Džaferović.
