SARAJEVO, February 24 (FENA) - Assistant Minister of Health of the FBiH Marina Bera stated today in Sarajevo that wearing masks in open and closed spaces as of today is a recommendation and not an order.

After the session of the FBiH Government, Bera pointed out that the epidemiological measures have been mitigated, considering that all indicators such as the number of infected, hospitalized and dead are in a significant decline.

She added that this also applies to indoor gatherings, where up to 300 people are now allowed if it is possible to ensure a distance of two meters, and for larger gatherings, it is necessary to respect the rule vaccinated/tested/recovered from Covid.

Bera stated that the presence of the public at outdoor and indoor sporting events will be allowed while respecting epidemiological measures, and if more than 300 people are present, it is necessary to respect the VPT rule.

"The obligation to wear masks remains when it comes to health institutions, social care institutions of all types, nursing homes, institutions for the care of people with special needs, penitentiaries, and public transport," Bera emphasized.

Also, a distance of two meters must be provided in catering facilities, and when organizing live music, it is necessary to respect the VPT rule.

Bera explained that wearing masks is still recommended for the elderly and chronically ill, especially indoors.
