SARAJEVO, February 22 (FENA) - The Crisis Staff of the FBiH Ministry of Health proposed today to the FBiH Government to accept a new measure according to which wearing a mask outdoors and indoors will no longer be mandatory, confirmed for FENA Assistant Minister of Health Goran Čerkez.

He pointed out that wearing masks will be mandatory in public transport, also for everyone who works in health and social care, but also in penitentiary institutions. He emphasized that they still recommend wearing masks for the elderly people who are still at risk, as well as unvaccinated people.

Čerkez pointed out that gatherings of up to 300 people will be allowed, and if that number is higher, it is necessary to have evidence of the VPT rule. (vaccinated, positive for Covid, or tested).

Speaking about catering facilities, he said that the rule of a distance of two meters between the tables is now in force, which removes the restrictions for the maximum capacity. Visitors to discos and nightclubs must, in addition to respecting the distance, also obey the VPT rule.

He added that from now on, theaters and cinemas will be able to work with 50 percent of their capacity, while the same rule applies for sports competitions, except indoors where the VPT rule applies.

Čerkez pointed out that the cantons have the possibility to adopt more restrictive measures and that they will monitor the situation and continue to relax the measures.

"The pandemic has not passed yet, the recommendations should be implemented, especially in the case of elderly and unvaccinated people," Čerkez concluded.
