SARAJEVO, February 11 (FENA) - President of the Independent Trade Union of Civil Servants and Employees in the FBiH Samir Kurtovic and President of the Trade Union of Civil Servants and Employees of the Republic of Croatia Iva Šušković signed today an agreement on cooperation between these two unions in Sarajevo today.

According to Kurtović, it took 30 years to sign the agreement between the two unions, which are among the strongest in BiH and Croatia, and it represents the beginning of their long-term and active cooperation.

"Both trade unions are members of the European Union EPSU, and the agreement is especially important for our union because we will have the opportunity to exchange experiences, information and work together on future projects in the field of education, exchange of various materials and more. We are expecting public administration reform in the coming period, which the trade union in Croatia has gone through, and I believe that their experiences will benefit us," said Kurtović, noting that there is no public administration reform without a trade union.

According to Šušković, the agreement on cooperation is important for both unions and the exchange of their experiences in collective agreements negotiations.

"The rights of workers in every respect can only be represented by a trade union. The union is the one that negotiates for the worker, negotiates their labor rights, salaries and it will stand up for the workers," said Šušković.
