Čović: I will call on Serb representatives to return to BiH institutions and protect their interests

“I will send a very clear message about how I see our relations and problems, what are the causes of these problems and how I see the solution. We must work, talk, seek solutions and solve all problems in BiH in a peaceful way. We must preserve the BiH Constitution and the attack on the Constitution from anyone must be clearly recognized. We have no alternative to work in our institutions. That is why I came to Banja Luka, to the National Assembly of the RS, to show respect for that institution, as I go to speak in a similar way in municipalities, cities, cantons. In the end, I will invite them to return to BiH institutions, because their interests will be best protected if they come to the BiH Parliamentary Assembly and the Council of Ministers and get involved in their work, regardless of the reasons for leaving,” Čović told FENA before his address in the RS National Assembly today.

He added that the conversation has no substitute and that "we must do everything to solve the problems in BiH in a peaceful way."

“We can only harmonize the different strategies and views we have through joint work through institutions and create a positive synergy. With respect for the people who invited me, recognizing the problems we have, I expect that the representatives of this and other institutions will come to the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH and express their views on all problems,” Čović said.

He emphasizes that he will act as the speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, but also as the president of HDZ and HNS, because he wants Croats living in RS to be represented by his voice who will fight for their place within RS.
