SARAJEVO, January 9 (FENA) - The campaign of the Ministry of Health of the Sarajevo Canton "Vaccination for the citizens" continued this weekend at the SCC shopping center in Sarajevo.
Emina Kurtagić-Pepić, an epidemiology specialist at the Sarajevo Canton Public Health Institute, told FENA that there were four immunization teams at the site.
"We have provided Pfizer and Sinopharm vaccines, and Pfizer was the vaccine that was mostly administered. The response was very good. We expect to meet our goal for the weekend," said Kurtagić-Pepić.
She says that during the two days of the weekend, they planned to administer a little more than a thousand doses of vaccines, emphasizing that the response of the citizens was really good, but that everything went on in good order.
As she explained, this is a continuous activity of immunization at shopping malls, and today there was an extremely high response.
"Probably because the people are monitoring the ongoing epidemiological situation, so the response was better than the last time before the New Year when we organized vaccination in Vogošća," said Kurtagić-Pepić.
She said that among those who received the vaccine today there was about 4 percent of those who received their first dose, and they were mostly younger citizens.
