ZENICA, November 23 (FENA) - Zenica miners did not go down into the pit this morning, and by suspending production, they expressed workers' disobedience, said Director of the Zenica Brown Coal Mines Subsidiary, Isad Turalić.
“The miners want to go to today's protest in Sarajevo, so this morning at 7 o'clock they did not go down into the pits. Therefore, the production has been suspended, as in all other mines. An inspection is in force, as required by the Law on Mining,” Turalić pointed out for FENA.
The miners of the two remaining Zenica facilities, "Raspotočje" and "Stara jama", will take a bus for a protest organized by the Independent Trade Union of Mining Workers of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which starts at 11:00 am in front of the FBiH Government building.
Miners from all seven mines from the Elektroprivreda BiH Concern will take part in the protest.
