SARAJEVO, November 4 (FENA) - Executive Director for Capital Investments of the Public Enterprise Elektroprivreda BiH and project manager of Block 7 Senad Salkić said today that this is a really big project that can have long-term and very significant consequences in its implementation and non-implementation to both Elektroprivreda BiH and the Federation of BiH.
“At this moment, Elektroprivreda BiH, considering the overall situation and the offer we have from Chinese partners in terms of continuing this project, estimated that another certain additional time would be needed to spend on understanding the technical and technological characteristics of what was offered, but also the prices and scope of works that would include the implementation and construction of Block 7,” said Salkić after the thematic session of the Government of the Federation of BiH dedicated to the situation in the energy sector.
In that sense, according to Salkić, at this moment it is impossible to make a decision on the continuation and termination of the contract without an additional expert opinion on at least four levels - scope, price, technique and total delivery of the Chinese partner's service, its licensing and reference.
“This is something that will be dealt within Elektroprivreda BiH and a wider group of international experts in the coming period in order to submit the company's final position on decision-making in the FBiH Parliament in the next 90 to 120 days in accordance with today's conclusion of the FBiH Government,” he said Salkić.
