FBiH: 20.4 percent of citizens vaccinated with 1st dose, 11.7 percent with 2nd

SARAJEVO, September 9 (FENA) - The Government of the Federation of BiH met today at a session on the information of the FBiH Public Health Institute on the current state of the pandemic and the vaccination process against COVID-19 in FBiH.

According to data collected until September 6, 2021, a total of 577,040 doses of vaccine against COVID-19 were administered in the Federation of BiH, of which 367,292 persons received the first dose (20.4 percent), and 209,748 persons (11.7 percent) were fully vaccinated.

Coverage by vaccination, first and second dose, in the cantons ranges from Sarajevo (31.83 percent and 17 percent), Tuzla (20.9 percent and 12.3 percent), Zenica-Doboj (20.5 percent and 10.2 percent) ), to Una-Sana (11.1 percent and 7.9 percent) and the West Herzegovina Canton (9.6 percent and 8.1 percent), the Public Relations Office of the FBiH Government announced.

In the 37th reporting week, 69,978 doses of vaccine were distributed (based on requests from cantonal public health institutes). Of these, AstraZeneca vaccines are 37,150, Comirnaty (Pfizer/BionTECH) 20,028 and Sinopharm 12,800 doses.

The Institute states that, according to current data (September 8, 2021), the seven-day incidence of COVID-19 in the Federation of BiH is 114.8 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, which according to defined levels of transmission in the community is considered a high level of transmission.
