US Embassy welcomes the sanctioning of unlawful conduct in the election process

SARAJEVO, August 13 (FENA) - The United States Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina today welcomed the activities undertaken to sanction unlawful conduct in the election process.

"The recent successes of the judiciary in investigating and prosecuting election fraud are encouraging. This protects civil liberties and rights, but also contributes to the transparency of elections," stated the US Embassy in Sarajevo on its official Twitter profile.

According to the decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC), this year's General Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina should be held on November 15.

This year, on December 20, local elections are planned to be held in the City of Mostar, a city where local elections have not been held since 2010.
