Dodik: We do not oppose fighting terrorism but without transfer of competences

BANJA LUKA, July 29 (FENA) - We are not against the fight against terrorism, but we can fight it in a way that does not violate the rights of the RS, which must be visible in the process, said today a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik who has called for another special session of the RS National Assembly that is taking place today.

Explaining why he was against the decision to support the conclusion of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the BiH Ministry of Security and the US Department of Homeland Security regarding the use of travel information, Dodik stated that it is a matter of transfer of competencies from the entities to the state level.

He says that “BiH has no rights in the field of education and that the RS supports the PISA program while respecting its competencies.”

“I will always oppose and call for the protection of entity interest in all matters that are against the interest of the RS because this means that the National Assembly of the RS is above the Presidency of BiH and that it must be strengthened. If you do not support this position, then you support Šefik Džaferović and Željko Komšić,” Dodik said in his address to the MPs.

He pointed out that the policy of the RS towards migrants has not changed and that “this entity is against migrants on its territory, against the BiH Armed Forces on the state border, but that the police presence at the BiH border must be enhanced.”
