Opposition parties’ leaders discuss potential protests across BiH

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, July 23 (FENA) - Presidents of the opposition political parties in BiH discussed the current situation and the activities they plan to carry out in the coming period.

This online meeting was attended by Nermin Nikšić, President of the Social Democratic Party of BiH, Predrag Kojović, President of Our Party, Elmedin Konaković, President of the People and Justice Party, Božo Skopljaković, President of the Croat Party, Senad Šepić, President of the Independent Bloc, Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, President of the Independent BH List and Mirsad Hadžikadić, President of the Platform for Progress.

According to the Platform for Progress, guided by the current political decisions of the governing structures and the neglect towards holding of the scheduled local elections in the country, the focus of this meeting was the organization of protests in cities across Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina must be given room to express their dissatisfaction not only because of the existing tendencies to prevent the holding of the local elections in 2020, but also because of the overall situation in the country, the statement said.
