BANJA LUKA, July 23 (FENA) - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić during his visit to Banja Luka today said that he wanted contacts with Bosniak and Croat officials in Bosnia and Herzegovina, not just Serbs and that the most important thing for all nations is to preserve peace.

“I do not have any kind of problem and I want as many contacts as possible and I sometimes talk to different government officials in BiH,” Vučić told reporters in Banja Luka and reminded of the meeting he had with the HDZ and SDA leaders Dragan Čović and Bakir Izetbegović.

He pointed out that it is more important for him to do concrete projects, especially infrastructure ones.

“We have to live together and that is how we want to live,” he said and added that Serbs, Bosniaks and Croats must preserve the peace.

He stated that "Serbia guarantees the implementation of the Dayton Agreement with its signature, and that signature is a guarantee for the RS, and that Serbia does not endanger BiH."

“We support the territorial integrity of BiH, but no one can deprive us of the right to support the RS and its survival and help our people in RS,” said Vučić and specified that Serbia has allocated to that BiH entity 59.2m euros in the past three years and funded projects in 48 local communities in the RS and in those local communities in the FBiH with a majority Serb population, as well as in the Brčko District.

Vučić said that the question was what would be obtained "by a possible revision of the judgment for genocide on the lawsuit of Bosnia and Herzegovina against Serbia, and asked what would be expected from the Serb people and relations with Serbia."

“I think we should connect and build trust, not insist on mistrust. You know what I think about the horror that happened in Srebrenica, but obviously that is not enough for someone,” the president of Serbia added.

Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik said he was proud that “the Republika Srpska and Serbia exist as two states in this region.”

“Some people may like it or not, but that is how it is,” said Dodik.

At the meeting with Vučić, he says, he will discuss the status of Kosovo and the status of the RS, and will present some of his ideas, and Vučić added that he was ready to listen to them.

“I am glad that we will discuss not only our projects but also some important issues, such as the status of the RS, such as Kosovo,” said Dodik.
