SARAJEVO, July 21 (FENA) - By canceling the meeting of the Working Political Group in the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina between representatives of the BiH authorities and the EU Delegation to BiH, a member of the Presidency from the entity of the RS, Milorad Dodik joined Dragan Čović in blocking the implementation of 14 priorities from the European Commission’s Opinion.
Just yesterday, the EU Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi spoke with Dodik, stressing the need to continue reforms under the 14 priorities.
However, Dodik pushed his finger into the eye of the European Commissioner and canceled the meeting of the Working Political Group immediately after the conversation. He thus showed what he thinks about Varhelyi and Sattler, but also about the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Dodik's decision to rudely humiliate the EU representatives who generously fund the RS entity, which is in economic collapse, and which could not survive without the help from the EU, corresponds to the HDZ BiH President Dragan Čović's efforts to sabotage any attempt to implement measures and recommendations from the Opinion of the European Commission.
On the other hand, although it is quite obvious that Dodik and Čović are blocking the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is completely disappointing to see the attitude of the EU Delegation to BiH, which does not seem to see any problem in that, even when Dodik humiliates Mr. Varhelyi, following Čović's example of him humiliating Sattler.
Such treatment of European Union officials cannot be understood differently unless the EU officials do not see any problem in such an attitude towards them and in such an attitude towards the European path of BiH.
As an advocate of BiH's European path and the implementation of the14 priorities from the EC Opinion, I do not even want to believe in the latter, stated the BiH Presidency member Željko Komšić.
