SARAJEVO, July 8 (FENA) - Damir Arnaut, a member of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, believes that there are several political parties in BiH that have been working since April to postpone or cancel the 2020 local elections.
“Several representatives of the political parties spoke back in April about how the pandemic would cause the elections to be postponed, and the elections in the United States were not postponed even during the Civil War and nothing ever cancelled the elections,” he emphasized.
Arnaut believes that the measures of the crisis headquarters allow the work of restaurants and cafes, while some still talk about postponing the elections.
“At the session of the House of Representatives, it was obvious who were the ones that want to postpone the elections, and those are all of them who voted against the urgent procedure for the adoption of the state budget yesterday,” added.
Fortunately, he pointed out, the citizens and the international community all want the elections to be held in BiH.
